Dianne Val Douglas (DVALD) is an interdisciplinary artist, whose practice explores the profound energetic connections between Sacred Geometry, the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean, and universal principles of healing and transformation.

Her artistic journey is a lifelong, self-driven pursuit. Rooted in Jamaica, where she first carved white chalk stone from the riverbeds of Oracabessa, her dedication to art persisted as she navigated a non-traditional path. Having lived and worked across Jamaica, London, and now the US, her diverse experiences have shaped her perspective, imbuing her work with a distinct understanding of resilience and interconnected systems, beyond early professional commitments in finance.

Today, her primary focus is on Sacred Geometric Healing Art, expressed through large-scale paintings, dynamic digital animations, and nascent interactive cymatics installations. She works with thick Arches watercolor paper, translucent vibrant inks, and 24-karat gold to create luminous paintings capturing the natural flow of the universe. Concurrently, she employs digital software to craft intricate animations, exploring the kinetic aspects of underlying geometries. This distinctive interdisciplinary approach fosters a unique dialogue between the tangible and the intangible, inviting viewers into an immersive experience beyond traditional two-dimensional viewing.

DVALD's work intricately intertwines the free-flowing energy of abstract lines with the profound structure of sacred geometry, forging visually meditative experiences. Her current work aims to foster profound connection and illuminate universal energetic symbols. Looking ahead, her practice is powerfully evolving towards creating groundbreaking, site-responsive installations that integrate painting, projection, and responsive sound environments, designed to allow viewers to viscerally feel and deeply engage with these profound principles on an expansive scale.
